Kevin Ahfat studies with Dr. Lei Weng of the University of Northern Colorado. At 16, Kevin has enjoyed wide recognition in his home state of Colorado and in competitions throughout the United States. His awards include first prizes in the Bradshaw and Buono International Piano Competition (2009), Yamaha-Wells Music Solo Piano Competition (2009), and Steinway and Sons Concerto Competition (2009), and a finalist prize at the 2010 IIYM International Piano Competition. In May of 2009, he debuted at Carnegie Hall in New York City.
