Zihui Song has studied piano since the age of 9 at the Shanghai Conservatory of Music. Now, six years later, he continues his studies at the conservatory with his teacher, Fan Zhou. Zihui has distinguished himself with many honors and awards in China, including 5th prize in the 2009 “Pearl River-Kayserburg” National Youth Piano Competition, and a 3rd place win in the 69th Steinway International Competition for Young Pianists, China Audition (2006). He has performed many solo performances and in 2010 played with the Shanghai Philharmonic Orchestra. Several scholarships and master classes allow Zihui to pursue his dream of meeting and performing with musicians from around the world.
