About Hyein:

Hyein Jeon, 17, is from Seoul, South Korea, where she attended the Music Prodigy Academy and Yewon School for music before being accepted into the Seoul Arts High School in 2013.  She graduated from the Korea National Institute for the Gifted in Arts in June 2014 and has performed in master classes with several distinguished pianists and teachers, including Oxana Yablonskaya. 
Hyein won first prizes at the Korean Mozart Orchestra Competition and the Eumyeon Competition in 2009 and First Prize at the Gangnung Wonju University Competition in 2010.  She was a finalist at the 1st Korea International Competition for Young Pianists in 2013.
Hyein enjoys a busy performing schedule, appearing as a soloist and as a chamber musician since 2008.  She performed with the Ascoli Korean Chamber Orchestra in 2014.  She has studied under Dahye Choi since 2007.
