Alyssa Gabrilovich, age 13, started playing piano when she was six and a half years old. Currently she is a 7th grader at the Welsh Valley Middle School near Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and a scholarship student at the Nelly Berman School of Music in Haverford, studying with Dr. Igor Resnianski.
Alyssa made her concerto debut at the age 9 as a winner of the Southeastern Pennsylvania Symphony Orchestra concerto competition. She has also performed with the Ambler Symphony Orchestra and will be performing with the Old York Road Symphony Orchestra in April of 2019. Alyssa received prizes in more than 20 national and international piano competitions. She is a recipient of the Elmer and Louise Menges Scholarship and Philadelphia International Music Festival Scholarship.
Alyssa frequently performs locally in Pennsylvania and has appeared in such venues as the Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall and Kimmel Center. In the summer of 2018 she was invited to perform live in the WRTI studio as a winner of the Steinway Piano competition.
Alyssa is a member of her school’s competition jazz band. Other than playing piano, she enjoys singing and reading.
