About Josue:
Josue Gonzalez Aguilar was born in San Jose, Costa Rica, in 1994 and began his pianistic career at the age of 7.
In 2005, at age 11, Gonzalez attended master classes in New York and Spain, and then won the young soloist contest organized by Costa Rica’s national symphony orchestra. Since then, he has been invited to perform at numerous events and has won prizes at several international competitions.
In 2009, he recorded a disc of classical piano works and a DVD with Liszt’s 12 transcendental etudes.
Gonzalez was admitted to the Central School of Music at the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory in September 2011 and became the first Costa Rican to perform in its Great Hall in 2012.
He is studying for a master’s degree in piano at the conservatory.
